Quality Detail #2: The shaft of every Joss cue is made of straight-grained, hard Canadian maple that is kiln-dried. Over the six to eight months it takes to manufacture the shaft, the wood is turned five times to ensure perfect straightness.
Quality Detail #3: After the shaft is built, it is treated with Nelsonite, a unique resin that penetrates the wood and replaces moisture to prevent warping.
Quality Detail #4: The forearm is made of either birds eye or straight grain maple, carefully inspected to make sure it?s free of knots and imperfections.
