100% North American Grade "A" Hard Rock Maple Shafts
 carefully selected by seasoned craftsmen for maximum quality and straightness.  The shaft of each Player cue is made of 100% American maple, produced in Michigan.  And this is true hard rock maple.  The wood is hand picked by inspectors who accept just three of every ten pieces they look at.  This kind of quality control is usually reserved for higher priced cues.

 plus, the wood is treated with Nelsonite, a patented wood stabilizer that protects the wood from changes in atmosphere; then a proprietary epoxy finish is applied that seals the cue and protects the wood from moisture and warping.
